Reconnaissance Publishes Directory of ID Document Suppliers

Reconnaissance International, publisher of ID & Secure Document News™ (IDN), has released the inaugural edition of the Directory of ID & Secure Document Suppliers.

Available in both digital and print format with an introductory 25% discount for IDN subscribers and a free digital copy offer for government organisations, the Directory is the first reference book of its kind to list key producers and specifiers of technologies, systems and solutions for ID and travel documents.

With over 600 listings the publication provides a definitive guide to suppliers of products, technologies and services for the production, issuance and management of passports, national ID cards, driving licences and other security documents.

The listings have been conveniently grouped into six sections that reflect the diversity of the industry.

The first section covers cards and includes substrates, components and feature suppliers, as well as security printing houses and providers of operating systems. The following section covers paper-based documents and includes paper producers, suppliers of components, devices and techniques, and the security printing houses and converters that combine the raw materials to produce the finished document.

Passports are covered in the next section and, in addition to substrate manufacturers, this includes providers of the specialist components and finishing required for passports, such as synthetic datapages and RFID inlays, as well as the security printing and assembly houses that make and collate passports. Section 4 covers production equipment, including the machinery for pre-press, printing, processing, finishing and inspection of identity documents.
